What Lies Ahead of Us? Collective Future Thinking in Turkish, Chinese, and US Adults

Virtual

Oral · Cognitive Psychology

We examined factors that influence how people imagine future events about their country and perceive their country’s well-being. Chinese anticipated more positive future national events and reported higher collective self-esteem than Americans and Turks. Event valence mediated the relationship between country identification and national well-being for Chinese and Turks.
