2021 APS Virtual Convention

An Integrative Framework for Conceptualizing and Assessing Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Skills: The Bessi

Across five studies (N = 6,309), we investigate the nature, structure, assessment, and outcomes of social, emotional, and behavioral skills. We find that these skills can be distinguished from personality traits; are robustly measured by the Behavioral, Emotional, and Social Skills Inventory; converge with related constructs; and predict consequential outcomes.
