To Have and to Hold: Public Affection-Sharing and Its Health Associations in Interracial and Intraracial Relationships

This project examined the frequency and associated health outcomes of public affection-sharing among individuals in interracial and intraracial mixed-sex relationships. Quantitative analyses showed that the psychological and physical well-being outcomes associated with public affection-sharing varied by relationship type. Follow-up interviews with 15 participants revealed themes that elucidate the quantitative findings.
