Interactions between Afferent and Efferent Signals in the Taylor Illusion

Virtual

Oral · Cognitive Psychology

We investigated the role efferent and afferent components of movements in the experience of a visual illusion (Taylor Illusion). We found that efferent, but not afferent, signals play a crucial role in modulating visual perception. Moreover, movement direction affected the strength and frequency of the illusion across participants.
