Moderating Role of Authenticity on the Relationship between Online-Offline Self-Concept Consistency and Well-Being

Virtual

Oral · Personality/Emotion Psychology

This research investigated the relationship between online-offline self-concept consistency and well-being, and the moderating role of authenticity in this relationship. As expected, high online-offline self-concept consistency predicted better general well-being and specific offline-to-online interaction coping. These relationships were conditional on the authenticity of the self across online and offline contexts.
