Psychological Distance to Science As a Unifying Predictor of Science Skepticism across Domains

We develop and demonstrate the validity of a novel scale – psychological distance to science. We show that the extent to which individuals perceive science as reliable (hypothetical) and relevant for their (social) lives in the here (spatial) and now (temporal distance), contributes to their acceptance of science across domains.
