Experiences of Prejudice Linked to Ethnicity and COVID-19: Results from Two Waves of a National Mental Health Study.
The COVID-19 pandemic fostered racism against minority groups. In a national sample (N=892) with quantitative and qualitative data, many Asians (32%), Blacks (26%), and Latinx (14%) reported at least one instance of prejudice/discrimination due to perceived links between their ethnicity and COVID-19. These experiences were associated with poorer mental health.
