Social Connectedness in the Time of Social Distancing: Exploring Associations between COVID-19 and Psychosocial Well-Being Among Emerging Adults
This study examines associations between distressing experiences related to COVID-19, social connectedness, and mental health outcomes among emerging adults. Results revealed those who experience more distressing COVID-19 events report lower social connectedness, and in turn more severe mental health symptoms. The strengths of these associations differ by student status.
