The relatedness of mind-wandering and involuntary mental time travel: An individual differences approach

Virtual

Oral · Cognitive Psychology

This study assessed individual differences in mental time travel (MTT) and mind-wandering. Participants completed a series of questionnaires and counted an hourly frequency of MTT into the episodic future, past, and counterfactual past. MTT frequency was uncorrelated with questionnaire self-report. Similar individual differences emerged for mind-wandering and mental time travel.
