Risk and Protective Processes in the Face of Spousal Loss
The present study focused on developing new models of risk and protective factors in bereavement. Random-intercepts cross-lagged panel modeling was employed. Results indicate the relationship between key factors and depression following spousal loss are more complex than previously thought and characterized by separable stable, between-subjects effects and time-varying, within-subjects effects.
