Changes in Pupil Diameter during Extended Tasks Reflects Hierarchical Cognitive Programs and Parallels the Time Series of Deactivation of Default Mode Regions
We show that changes in pupil diameter during the execution of extended tasks follows the dynamics of cognitive programs through which extended tasks are hierarchically controlled and executed as single entities, and follows the time series of Default Mode region deactivation.
