Time Prediction: Westerners Are More Accurate, Asians Are More Cautious

The present study examined the influence of culture and experiences on individuals’ time prediction. Participants predicted longer time than their actual task completion time. The more experience accumulated, the greater the time difference was. This time difference was even greater among Asians, reflecting Asians’ more cautious view while making predictions.
