COVID-19 Pandemic-Related Stressors and Mental Health Outcomes on Racial and Ethnic Minorities

In a quality improvement project, 644 veterans receiving psychiatric care at a VA medical center completed a survey assessing COVID-19-pandemic-related stressors, positive adaptations, and mental health. Although racial/ethnic minority veterans experienced more economic stressors and anxiety, they also reported more positive behaviors protective of their mental health, than white veterans.
