The Developmental Trajectory of Susceptibility to Visuospatial Illusions in Vision and Haptics in Sighted and Blind Children

Virtual

Oral · Developmental Psychology

Sighted and visually impaired children are susceptible to classic visuospatial illusions when explored using vision (sighted) and haptic (sighted and visually impaired) exploration. Susceptibility increases with age for sighted children. Perceptual discrimination of spatial extent was best with vision, either alone or paired with haptics, and significantly improved with age.
