Social Media Use during the COVID-19 Pandemic and Its Associations with Social and Emotional Wellbeing and Loneliness in College Students
This investigation surveyed college students to examine how components of social networking site (SNS) use (i.e., weekly frequency, time per day, habitual use, engagement, enjoyment, addiction, emotional impact) changed during the COVID-19 pandemic. It also assessed how components of SNS were related to pandemic-related social and emotional wellbeing and loneliness.
