Dyad-Linked Incentives Increase Goal Achievement and Reduce Cost: Evidence from a Brain Training Exercise

Virtual

Oral · Behavioral Economics

Dyad-linked incentives, which require two linked individuals to both complete a target behavior to receive an incentive, were more effective and cost-efficient than individual incentives at increasing goal achievement on an online task. The efficacy of dyad-linked incentives was enhanced when teammates engaged in a pre- and post-task chat.
