What a Hassle! How Rumination and Neuroticism Inform the School Hassles – School Engagement Relationship

Virtual

Oral · Industrial/Organizational Psychology

We assessed weekly school hassles, weekend rumination, and next-week school engagement in college students over three weeks, with neuroticism considered as an exacerbating factor. Using multilevel modeling, results indicate an indirect effect of hassles on engagement via affective rumination at low levels and problem-solving pondering at high levels of neuroticism.
