Effects of Motivational Self-Focus in Context-Based Attention Flexibility Toward Goal-Relevant Information: An Eye-Tracking Study.
Attention flexibility was evaluated in individuals with different motivational promotion/prevention focus levels through a novel eye-tracking task based on continuous changes of motivational contexts and associated goals. Results show that motivational factors modulate affective attention flexibility for goal changes in motivationally-congruent contexts, informing future personalized flexibility interventions to promote resilience.
