Response Time Modelling Reveals Evidence for Multiple, Distinct Sources of Moral Decision Caution

Virtual

Oral · Cognitive Psychology

We studied caution in moral judgements using a novel application of the Diffusion Decision Model. We found that expecting additional information slowed judgements by increasing separation of decision boundaries, while observing people sharing low amounts with others slowed judgements both via a starting point bias and increasing drift rates.
