Examining a “Normalized-Uncertainty” Intervention for Ambiguous Health Messages about COVID-19

Virtual

Oral · Social Psychology

We examined psychological effects of ambiguous information about COVID-19 and tested a “normalized-uncertainty” intervention. Surprisingly, there were few main effects of ambiguous information and the intervention was unsuccessful, although ambiguous information about COVID-19 decreased perceived severity of COVID-19 in one of two studies.
