Assessing Social Anxiety through Eye-Tracking Attentional Disengagement
This study examines socially anxious individuals’ propensity to find and maintain focus on threat. The present study utilizes an eye tracking task that waits for fixation and then cues for disengagement. Our initial analyses indicate that social anxious individuals find threatening faces faster and tend to have more difficulty disengaging.
