Bidirectional Associations between Internalizing Symptoms and Biological Markers of Stress in Youth across the COVID-19 Pandemic
Using a cross-disciplinary methodological approach from pre- to post-COVID-19, we found evidence for a bidirectional association between internalizing symptoms and autonomic system activity. These findings could guide ways in which the field conceptualizes and studies the impacts of stress on mental health.
