A Critical Review of the Utility of College Student Samples in Research on Trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

We conducted a critical review of the literature on college student samples in trauma research. Specifically, we reviewed trauma studies to determine whether results obtained from college student samples differ from non-college samples. Our results indicated similar trends of trauma-related findings between college student samples and more nationally representative samples.
