Virtual

Flash Talks

Subject Area: Biological Psychology

Mechanisms underlying aberrant diurnal cortisol production, a marker of stress reactivity, are not well understood. This study found that specific emotion regulation strategies prospectively predicted distinct patterns of diurnal cortisol in youth during COVID-19, a period of significant stress. Findings suggest that emotion regulation underlies biomarkers of wellbeing during stress.
