Executive Function As a Prospective Predictor and Outcome of General Psychopathology in the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study.

Virtual

Oral · Clinical Science

We examined prospective relations between executive function (EF) and a general psychopathology (‘p’) factor in preadolescents. We found that baseline EF prospectively predicted two-year change in p factor scores. Baseline p scores also predicted change in EF. Results suggest that EF is a non-specific risk marker and consequence of psychopathology.
