Predicting Early Life Cognitive Development from Genetic and Environmental Factors: A Focus on Adverse Life Experiences

The present study assessed the roles of genetic and environmental factors on cognitive development from ages 2-4 years. Results demonstrated significant negative associations between family and twin risk factors and the genetic factor for years in education. Family and twin risk factors also significantly predicted early life cognitive development outcomes.
