Brain Network Properties Differentiate Track Risk for Bipolar Disorder
Individuals at risk for Bipolar Disorder (BD) often present initially for depression treatment. Unfortunately, antidepressants can precipitate mania. Thus, BD risk biomarkers are needed to prevent iatrogenic treatments. We identified brain-network properties that varied with BD risk levels in patients with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), which may improve diagnostic specificity.
