Stroop Interference with Color Words and Color Word Homophones

Virtual

Oral · Cognitive Psychology

The traditional Stroop task creates a conflict between color words and color fonts which results in interference. Klein (1964) has shown that semantically related words can change the amount of interference obtained in this task. This study examines whether words that sound the same as colors also produce interference.
