Facial Appearance Shapes Teachers’ Assessments at Zero-Acquaintance: Lessons from Geometric Morphometrics

When teachers and student teachers were presented with facial photographs of unknown children, they assigned better grades to children rated as prettier and cuter by another set of teachers. Geometric morphometric analyses quantified and visualized the associated facial shapes, supporting a similar attractiveness halo effect for children as for adults.
