The Asymmetry of Negative Transfer Effect in Working Memory Training

Using a two-phase working memory training paradigm, our studies demonstrated the asymmetry of a negative cross-phase transfer effect. Circle backward training transferred negatively to subsequent letter backward training. In contrast, the transfer from letter backward training to circle backward training was not negative, but rather weakly positive.
