The Impact of Sexual Orientation Discrimination on the HIV-Risk Cognitions and Behaviors of Men Who Have Sex with Men (MSM)

Virtual

Oral · Social Psychology

Using an experimental paradigm, we explored the association between sexual orientation discrimination and sexual risk behavior in a sample of MSM. Participants who were discriminated against reported greater risky sex intentions compared to control participants. This effect was mediated by lower levels of state self-esteem.
