Treatment Focus Diffusion Predicts Poorer Clinical Outcomes in Children’s Mental Health Care

Using clinical records, we examined the extent of treatment focus diffusion (TFD) across co-occurring concerns and its relationship to clinical outcomes. We found that an implemented evidence-based treatment (MST) maintained a narrower focus than more traditional public mental health care, but MST was also more susceptible to TFD related attenuation.
