Inhibition Skill in Working Memory Affects Learning from a Distraction-Filled Multimedia Lesson

Virtual

Oral · Cognitive Psychology

Students viewed a multimedia lesson with highly distracting elements, took inhibition skill and working memory capacity tests, and took a posttest. Students who scored higher in inhibition skill as measured by n-back and Stroop tasks performed better on the posttest, but working memory capacity had no effect.
