A Systematic Review of Public Stigma Towards Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Symptom Subtypes
OCD and public stigma are multidimensional; individuals with different symptom presentations may encounter distinct attributes of stigma. Ten vignette studies with 5,806 participants from four countries were systematically reviewed using PRISMA guidelines. Compared to other OCD symptom subtypes, desire for social distance was the greatest for harm/aggression and sexual OCD.
