What Are the Necessary Conditions for Wisdom? Examining Intelligence, Creativity, Meaning-Making, and Personality Traits

Our study is the first to examine whether intelligence, creativity, meaning-making, and the Big-Five personality traits are necessary conditions for wisdom. We analyzed data from 298 MTurk participants using necessary conditions analyses and segmented regressions, finding intelligence and adaptive personality traits to be necessary for performance-based and personality-based wisdom, respectively.
