Implicit Evaluation of Moral Agents and Moral Patients
Across four experiments (N = 3740), implicit evaluations of social groups described as moral patients (victims) were more positive than those of moral agents (perpetrators) and neutral controls. These results are difficult to reconcile with associative accounts of implicit cognition and suggest that (implicit) victim derogation is not ubiquitous.
