Latent Profile Analysis of Behavior Problems in a National Sample of Prekindergarten Classrooms
Using latent profile analysis (LPA), this study investigates profiles of behavior problems in a nationally representative sample of low-income prekindergarten children. We uncover six distinct profiles that differ in the severity and types of behavior problems (underactive vs. overactive) and where behaviors occur (peer, learning, and teacher contexts).
