Depression As a Risk Factor for Memory Decline in Older Adults: A Longitudinal Study Using the Dual Change Score Model
Depressive symptoms predicted subsequent memory decline in a sample of 2,057 older adults aged 60 to 99. The sample was assessed over ten years (five time-points), and bivariate dual change score models showed that higher depression is linked with a steeper decline in memory by the subsequent time-point.
