Implicit Attitudes Toward Dishonesty Are Associated with Selfish Dishonesty

Virtual

Oral · Cognitive Psychology

This study examined the association among implicit attitudes toward dishonesty, working memory capacity, and selfish dishonest behavior. We found that only implicit attitudes were associated with the frequency of engaging in dishonest behavior to avoid monetary loss. These results suggest that implicit attitudes are an important determinant of selfish dishonesty.
