From Mothers to Children and Back: Bidirectional Processes in the Cross-Generation Transmission of Anxiety from Early Childhood to Adolescence
The current study examined maternal sensitivity and anxiety symptoms among mothers and children, focusing on the bidirectional effects of these variables across childhood in the context of war-related trauma. Cross-legged models demonstrated links between maternal and child anxiety in some developmental nodes. Child anxiety predicted maternal behavior throughout the study.
