2021 APS Virtual Convention
A Large-Body Text Analysis of Student Response Data As an Indication of Psychosocial Intervention Effectiveness
We analyzed the open response questions of freshman students who participated in a psychosocial intervention at a large midwestern university. Using Linguistic Inquiry Word Count, we examined student responses and tested for the use of social, emotional, and achievement themed words. Students in the treatment used more achievement words.
