Origins of the Human Sense of Justice

Virtual

Oral · Social Psychology

The sense of justice may originate in the standard human mind–brain. If so, then laypeople may be able to intuitively reconstruct laws from cultures they are not familiar with. Studies conducted in 22 countries indicate that laypeople can reliably intuit the core of millennia-old laws from Mesopotamia and China.
