Abstract
441 MTurk participants interacted with an AI agent in a real-time (LIVE) simulated negotiation for a vacation homeshare rental. The effects of race/ethnicity of the AI agent – as well as the customer’s race/ethnicity, trust, commitment, and emotions – on the customer’s starting offer, duration, and negotiated outcomes were measured.
