Abstract
Childhood deprivation has been associated with deficits in emotion regulation (ER). We explored associations between childhood deprivation and engagement/disengagement ER strategies in 130 undergraduates using EMA. Only emotional deprivation modestly related to ER. Findings suggest that experiences of childhood deprivation do not broadly impede adaptive momentary ER strategy use.
