Abstract
This study investigates race and gender as moderators of the association predicting heart rate variability (HRV) from racial stress. Results found that higher racial stress was more strongly predicted by lower HRV for Black college women, but contrastingly, higher HRV for Black college men, independent of sociodemographic and health-related covariates.
