Needing You: Social Network Instrumentality

The current study examines how one's social network influences need fulfillment and relational outcomes. We found that finding someone instrumental to your goals predicts relational closeness, satisfaction, and authenticity. Further, we found that when someone is instrumental in a way you'd like them to be also predicts relational well-being.
