A Mouse-Tracking Investigation of Motivated Numeracy

Abstract
We used a mouse-tracking method to trace the decision-making process as participants interpreted data from a gun control or a neutral scientific study. Prior attitudes about gun control motivated participants to arrive at a congenial interpretation of the data, but this was not due to increased information seeking.
Bias
