The Effects of Criticism on Emotional Response & Perception

The current study examined whether criticism, both constructive and destructive, effected an individual’s emotional response following the completion of a task, as well as contextual perceptions involving the environment, experimenter, and eagerness to perform the task again. Results indicate that destructive criticism causes negative emotional responses and perceptions.
