Abstract

This prospective study investigated the influence of interdisciplinary factors on the activities of daily living(ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living(IADL) of patients following open-heart surgery(OHS). Age and pre-OHS depression predicted higher ADL and IADL. Positive religious coping contributed to better functioning, but perfusion time contributed to higher IADL levels.
