Abstract
Research associating sleep with improved learning and memory has grown, yet college students remain notoriously poor sleepers. This hybrid study/active-learning class exercise used conventional devices (Fitbits) to replicate neuroscience findings linking memory to sleep quality (and duration), using students’ own data. Student experiences, student-centered pedagogy, and SoTL prospects are discussed.
